iCloud storage - leaving family sharing
What happens to backed up photos, etc that are in iCloud storage. Is there a grace period to allow the person who left family sharing to subscribe to their own storage plan?.

When it comes to leaving a Family, you have the option to purchase your own storage plan to continue using iCloud storage. The data that is stored in iCloud is attached to your Apple ID/iCloud account, so nothing will happen to it when you leave the Family as long as you have sufficient storage to cover your data.
