Glitchy iPad mini 2 screen?

Hello we’re currently travelling Aus for 6 months and 3 months in my daughters iPad mini2 has 1/5th of the lower screen glitching.

have tried several reset attempts

and brightness test etc,

tapping back.

would a full erase and restart solve this? Am waiting to back it up tomorrow to iCloud before doing this. Any other tips be fantastic
