I airdropped 2 videos on my ipad with a file type .wmv. It does not show on my ipad, but it took up space. Where did it go? HELP!
iPad Air, iPadOS 14
Open your Files app.
Navigate to the browse screen (that may mean tapping the back arrow at the top left)
Under Favorites, tap on downloads.
Are your wav files there?
I downloaded the Files app. I only saw 1 video, but the other one is still missing. Also, when I tried to delete the video, it did not give me back the original bytes of my storage before airdropping the 2 videos.
WHAT'S HAPPENING? 😭😭😭
When you delete a file from files it moves to recently deleted. Go back to the Browse screen and tap recently deleted. You can permanently delete files from that location. The space will free eventually; might take a few minutes.
wmv videos will only transfer to files since they cannot be played in native apps on the iPad.
As for the second video, I'd look in "on my iPhone"
