How to connect a Wacom ONE 13 tablet to my 27inch iMac

I have connected a Wacom 13 tablet to my iMac using a Syntech USB C to HDMI Adapter.

When I draw on the tablet I am unable to see the illustration I'm actually doing, the image is on the Mac screen (as it would be if it was Intuos tablet). The only images I can get on the tablet is the screen saver and Apple App Store. which I can only scroll.

If the Adapter I am using is the problem, what type of Adapter should I be using?

Is there a Apple adapter that I should be using?
