Cannot copy searched text on whatsapp

Hi Kuash, this is Kenneth here.

I just updated my IOS 14.7.1 few days.

Suddenly realize, if I search for a whatsapp text. Tried to copy but, not responsive in my whatsapp BA.

Today, i just update the Whatsapp BA version.

It is fine now!

Maybe you could try that and see. =)

I have this problems for months, update the app several times but still didn't work. However, i just updated the app again this morning and it works now! I can long-press and do all the features (forward, reply, copy) it used to.

Be patient and just keep updating the WA app whenever there's new updates!

Seems to be a Glitch:

I don't use that issue at the moment. But, contact the app's Developer. You'll find their contact information in the app's site of the App Store. Ask them if they have an update for this, as it may be a glitch in the software.

I found a way where instead of searching from the main page, click in the chat with the person that you wish to copy the text from and search from there instead. You should be able to copy the text, it works for me. Hope it helps!

Use Copy:

Highlight the text and then hold your finger down on it. See if the word "Copy" pops up. If so, tap "Copy" and then see if you can paste it elsewhere.

If you have this entire SMS Messages session, then use this App to export them to PDF: Messages & SMS Export to PDF - Apple Store.

Hi, I have similar problem. Tried to remove and reinstall WhatsApp and tried reset all setting for iphone. Nothing worked. Still cannot copy anything from searched message.

Getting Around This:

Scan Screenshots of Texts:

Start with taking some screenshots and then save them one screenshot after the other on to a document. Then, print it, scanning it in with software called OmniPage.

Try using software called OmniPage. It is scan-to-PDF software, and would be worth it, if these are not hundreds of pages. All you would need to do is print out this document of screenshots, and then scan it with OnmiPage --- all would be saved as a PDF document or other options, and could fully editable as a MS Word Document.  Here is the Developer's Site: Kofax OmniPage Standard and Ultimate | Kofax

I am facing the same problem and I think this is the issue on the app itself.
