Is your iPhone Heating while in CarPlay with Pioneer stereo?

I could use the phone as a skillet… gets so hot while using CapPlay. Maps suddenly will not re-load and has caused quite an issue while traveling. Also GPS doesn’t know where I am. Anyone else having this issue?

it’s been a real safety issue for me.

iPhone overheating when using GPS while charging I've been using Navigation software on my iPhone Xs for many years (not CarPlay) and because this drains the battery "somewhat", I have it on charging, while driving in my car. This worked fine until a couple of months ago: the iPhone crashes while using the navigation software (doesn't matter which one: google maps/Sygic/Apple). Normally I have it in a holder on the front windscreen. Fortunately I was able to hang the phone in front of the airco outlet of the car, which kept it a lot cooler (but still warm), but it wouldn't charge. Also, my wife has the same type of iPhone and has the same issue. I really think it is related to the latest IOS verion (v16.*). Can this be fixed by Apple please!?

iPhone 12 gets very hot while using Google maps but not with Apple Maps Basically I have a iPhone 12 and when using Google maps it gets very hot but when I switch to Apple Maps it immediately starts to cool down, I can use Apple Maps all day and it will never get pass warm. thank you very much.
