Is it possible to turn off the wifi from the lock screen.

On an iPhone, yes, swipe down from upper right to lower left portions of the screen, you can turn of the WIFi by clicking on the WiFi icon that appears.
On a Mac, no, not from the lock screen, unless you switch users and log in as another user and then you can turn off its WiFi. Either way you have to log in as one or another user.
