My iPad was recently smashed to bits but miraculously it can still turn on and off (little sections still light up when I press the on button) Is there anyway I can recover the procreate data and documents on the iPad and move it to my new iPad without backup?

For some reason when I load up iTunes it says my iPad in on “Recovery Mode” and when I restore it, it just pops up the notification saying I need to restore/update my device again. What should I do? (I have already recovered/updated my device multiple times)
Not without a backup, however, if it is firing up even if you can't see the screen, you should be able to connect it to your computer and create a backup and save it on your computer so you can load it onto your new iPad using the computer and it's backup.
