Too Many Apple IDs Error

Hi,

The Android app which I'm using on my mobile device gives this error from time to time.

You've signed in with too many Apple IDs on this device. To access your music library, sign in with the Apple ID you've used previously on this device.

Usually when I forcefully close the app, and re-open, it's back to normal.

However, today is one of those days where no matter how many times I've tried this, it has failed me.

I'm afraid of signing out which would remove all the downloads from the device.

By the way, I only have one Apple ID. Never have I used anyone else's ID on my device either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Eric,

Email support recommended forcing the app to close from settings and clearing cache, which I did but didn't solve the issue.

Next step was to sign out and lose the downloads in the process, which I didn't do.

Chat support confirmed the same, and an additional step of re-installing the app.

So this leaves me with no option.

Spotify, here I come !

Thanks for your support Eric.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for your reply.

It's an individual user subscription.

I'm able to access my playlist now. However, adding new songs to the library and downloading gives me trouble.

The song would show up in the library when added, and I'm able to play it as well.

If I close the app and come back again, it will be gone.

Why is this happening?

I've never had this much of trouble with the Music app for years, but now.

Hello systemoad,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about Apple Music and Family Sharing.

1. If you are part of an Apple Music family subscription, please ensure you are invited in properly: This article talks about this: Get an Apple Music family subscription - Apple Support

"Each member of an Apple Music family subscription gets unlimited access to the Apple Music catalog. And each family member gets their own personal music library, and music recommendations based on what they love to listen to."

2. Once more please verify you are using your own Apple ID on your device also. Use your own Apple ID for Family Sharing - Apple Support

3. This article talks about the types of things that can be shared: What types of content can I share with my family using purchase sharing? - Apple Support

4. If it's something that should be shared, try the troubleshooting in this help article: If you don't see your family's shared content - Apple Support

Thanks, let us know if you still have issues.
