Scheduled Reminders Showing Notifications Way Too Early

I use scheduled reminders to remind me to do certain tasks on a daily basis. I set them to remind me at a specific time, and I have it set to repeat daily.

The problem I'm facing is that on my lock screen it will show a notification for a reminder but sometimes more than 12 hours before I have set the reminder to go off. It's like a "pre-reminder."

For example, I have a reminder that's supposed to go off at 11 am. But the night before, at say 10 pm (if not earlier), I'll get a notification that says "New Reminder." When I look at it, it will be the reminder that is supposed to go off at 11 am the following day. It doesn't show as past due with the time in red like it does when the reminder actually goes off, but it does tell me it's set to go off at 11 am tomorrow. Like hello? Why are you reminding me that you'll be reminding me tomorrow? It's so annoying. I want you to remind me at 11 am tomorrow, not tonight. It's distracting and completely pointless.

I can't find a way to turn this off and nothing in any forum I've seen has an answer.

Does anybody out there now how to fix this problem?

Hello joskam092,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support communities. We understand that you are wanting to stope the notification for reminders that come in 12 hours prior to the actual time and date set for the reminder. We would love to provide you support on this.

This resource tells you how to use the reminders and gives support for notifications: Use Reminders on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

joskam092,

Thank you for getting back to us. In the first resource it talks about all day reminders and changing the time or just disabling the all day reminder notification. This will disable the notifications for reminders set as "all day reminders". We would also recommend checking the way that you have your reminders set up, because if they are set up as "all day reminders" then you may still receive notifications hours before the actual event because its set as an all day notification.

The steps to follow are located in the first section of the first resource.

Cheers!
