iOS14 empty space on Home Screen

Can anyone tell me if there’s a way to remove the space at the bottom of the home screen? As someone with small hands, the bottom row of the apps is the only one I can comfortably reach one handed and now there’s a huge space that is unused! Surely the design team could put the scrolling dots at the top of the screen so that the prime reachable area of the screen can be utilised?
