MacBook Pro Wifi slow

I have a 2017 MacBook Pro and have been noticing consistently how the internet speeds are very slow compared to my iPhone or iPad. I have tried every solution out there, restarting MacBook, restarting router, router channels, 2.4ghz, 5ghz, resetting connections and so on.

There has to be a reason, I have read a lot of other people with this issue and no true fix.

First picture is MacBook Pro speeds, second is iPhone.

Hi Avalonmist,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities.

We understand that your MacBook Pro Wi-Fi connection is slow and we’re happy to help! If you haven't already done so follow the steps found in the Apple resources below, then check to see if the problem is still there after each one:

  1. Back up your Mac: How to back up your Mac and Update macOS on Mac
  2. Use Wireless Diagnostics on your Mac
  3. Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference
  4. Check VPN (Virtual Private Network) and third-party software to help resolve network connectivity issues
  5. Start up your Mac in safe mode
  6. Create a new user account: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

We hope this helps.

Take care.
