apple tv 4k (2017 edition) the weirdo edition

I moved recently to a new house. I plugged my apple tv, get on the wifi and off we go for a smooth ride. Except after 2 days, nothing seems to work quite well. The remote is not recognized. I cant connect to the app store, music store, arcade. After configuring my homepods, the one in the same room as the tv is not detected at all. Network down ? Not really. When I take the remote of my tv or use my phone as a remote, I can navigate the ui. I can stream movies on netflix and all the streaming services.

I am using the latest tv os, att fiber, arris surfboard wifi 6 router, sony x90 tv.

If your remote somehow lost its pairing to the box, then you can pair it again.

Thank you for your asnwer.

The issue is I am trying to describe is more than some of the network aspects seems down, some seems up.

Apple services in general are not accessible, speedtest is not (you are offline) while all the streaming services are working just fine. The remote seems to be a side effect.

Try this:

Force-quit all apps, or at least the ones with issues.
Sign out of your Apple ID account, and then immediately sign back in again. That would refresh the account information, and help in getting proper Apple services again.
Restart the device for good measure.
