iPhone 12 Pro Max

I was on my phone when it randomly made an electronic zapping noise with pink bars all over the screen. It then turned off for a little and turned back on with the apple logo like it would after a restart. There’s been no problems since but I was wondering if there is something wrong with my device.

iPhone 12 Pro unexpected restart Hello, I was laying on my bed and while playing an app game I heard a weird static sound and then my phone restarted on its own. The bottom part of the screen was missing (where the home swipe thing is located and about half an inch from bottom was just black) and it was frozen for a sec. When it restarted, I played music just to make sure the speakers are working and they are. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. This was a freak anomaly and would like it to be out there in case if anyone else experiences it.

Loud crackling noise on my iphone 12 Pro Max then went black screen This is the first time I have experienced the loud crackling noise while I am on a Video Call in Facebook Messenger. Happened 5mins ago. It’s weird when the phone suddenly shut off and went black screen, I press and hold the power button for 3 seconds and then the screen just lit up and showed me the passcode screen right away. My phone did not restart. I didn’t see the logo as well. I am just concerned if anyone also experienced this? And why did that happen? what are the right troubleshooting steps to avoid this issue again?

It will be very difficult to determine if it was a software glitch or first signs of a hardware failure unless it gets looked at in a Genius Bar.

If you are near the end of your warranty period it may be a good idea to contact Apple Support so that the complaint was registered within the warranty period.
