Loud crackling noise on my iphone 12 Pro Max then went black screen

This is the first time I have experienced the loud crackling noise while I am on a Video Call in Facebook Messenger. Happened 5mins ago. It’s weird when the phone suddenly shut off and went black screen, I press and hold the power button for 3 seconds and then the screen just lit up and showed me the passcode screen right away. My phone did not restart. I didn’t see the logo as well. I am just concerned if anyone also experienced this? And why did that happen? what are the right troubleshooting steps to avoid this issue again?
