Loss of Phone Contacts in address book

has anyone else experienced losing telephone contacts, have checked I cloud and these are missing. I have lost many important contacts whom i have built up over the years. The problem is that you only know who you have lost when the call and the name and number is not recognized?

iPhone 8, iOS 14

Hey SteveH21,

Yes. This is throughout the duration of you using the email account. When you have more than one account you can open Contacts > Go to 'Groups' at the top left > See which accounts hold which contacts. Even though it is considered an email account it does not save only emails. These accounts save emails, contacts, calendars, and reminders, as mentioned earlier.

Best regards.

Hey SteveH21,

Have you removed or made changes to any email accounts on your iPhone recently? Most contacts are synced through your mail accounts that are linked to your iPhone. If one is removed, it then removes all data that was synced with it. Go to Settings > Contacts > Accounts, and be sure that all accounts are signed in and if any have been removed, add them back.

Cheers.
