Can’t preview Instagram posts from Lock Screen/Notification Center

On Instagram, for certain accounts, I have post notifications enabled. Whenever that account posts a new picture or video, I still get notification banners on the Lock Screen and/or Notification Center but the issue is, I used to be able to (until about a month ago) see a small thumbnail of their post in the banner. I'd be able to long press on the banner, which would open up and show me the full size post. All without having to unlock my phone or actually open the Instagram app. The main reason this was handy is because I could very quickly go through all the new posts from people I follow, without unlocking my phone/opening the app and without having to scroll through the entire feed.

I’m not sure what made it stop working. But I did notice a change after I updated to the current version of iOS at the time which was 14.7. Since then i updated to 14.7.1 which did not fix the problem. Does anyone have an answer on how to fix this issue? FYI I’ve tried hard resetting my phone, deleting and reinstalling Instagram, updating Instagram to the latest version, logging out of my account and logging back in, all the basic stuff.
