iPhone 11 with iOS 14.7.1, no service

Hello,

I have an iPhone 11 and I have installed iOS 14.4.7 and since then I do not have the signal or cellular data. It is displayed "no service" or "searching"

I tried a lot of things like : exchage the SIM, eSIM, reset network settings, erase all content and settings....same issues.

It seems that it is hardware problem (motherboard) that Apple probably knows or this version of iOS has some bugs.

Do you have any idea how to fix it except that proposed by our local service to buy a new phone?

I have an iPhoneX and I have installed iOS 14.7.1 and after about two week, the signal and cellular data have gone. It is displayed "no service".

I tried all apple recommendation for no service problem, but they didnot come in handy.

Could anyone tell me another solution? Is this is a kind if software problem or this maybe a hardware damage?

Had a similar issue. Apparently this has been a not fixed eSIM bug from 14.7.1.

What resolved the issue for me was:

  1. Restoring the firmware from Finder
  2. Erasing all Content and Settings from iPhone

Somewhere in between I deleted the cellular plan on the eSIM.

Also had to go to AT&T to get a physical SIM.

Hopefully that helps.

Hello,

Your iPhone worked correctly before the update?

If so this is a problem that is probably linked to the software, to correct it, you can backup your data on a computer and reset it to factory mode using a computer.

If this is not the case then this is probably bound to the material, in this case you will have to try to see with the after-sales service of the store where you have to buy the iPhone.

I remain at your disposal for the future. Good day.

The exactly same thing happened to me: updated to 14.7.1 and lost all cellular connectivity.

Brought the iPhone 11 Pro to a Genius Bar: they run their diagnostic twice and could not find anything wrong, they ran sone RF test in the backroom, no issues. They tried to do a factory reset, no luck either.

They told me my only option was to get the iPhone replaced with the out of warranty program: $549!! And to make it worse my phone is only 13 months old. That's my second iphone that dies within 2 years. Last one was an iPhone 10, it started to reboot constantly after 16 months.

Very disappointed that a $1,000+ phone would not even last 2 years!!!

Well yes it seems to be related to the 14.7.1 update since we all started to have the issue after the update.

Yet Apple Genius Bar said the only option available was to replace the iPhone and to spend another $600, they did not even try to reverse to previous OS. I'm just very disappointed that they would not acknowledge it could be a software bug introduced by 14.7.1, especially since their diagnostic software could not find anything wrong with the hardware!

I would expect a better support on a $1,000+ smartphone, on a 13 months old phone.

Im having the same exact problem on iphone 11, already restore via 3utools as itunes couldn't restore my iphone. No luck with that, i guess the only option is to downgrade ios from before updates. Apple Store won't offer reverse OS as it is not an official way, the best "legal" way to follow now is waiting for the next 14.8 update soon before iphone 13 release in fall, best of luck!

My problem is I was one the call on iPhone 7plus suddenly my 3G & 4G got lost. I seen on my phone it’s started to searching network mode. I thought maybe network have some issue. But when cellular network came I didn’t had 4G or even 3G. I did everything to find the issue, changed the SIM card to new one but it’s don’t solve the issue. I took it to repair shop but no one can find the issue. Yes I did update 2days ago to iOS 14.7.1.

Iphone 11 Pro user with the same problem...

2 weeks now without my phone working correctly.

I've reset the phone, then I couldn't get it to activate! Apple store restored it too. Phone worked for a few hours and later that day it disconnected again.

I've refrained from going back to apple store because their only solution is to shell out $720 for a new phone.

I've called apple support and up until now, no one there even knows this is a problem. You tell them there are hundreds of posts online and they'll reply "we've yet to hear about this directly from apple" therefore we can't really do anything.

Even though they have an "engineer" working on my case and they haven't issued a statement to me yet, the apple specialist I spoke to today said "ya the only thing I can tell you is to mail it in for repair" when I know for a fact that it's the update to 14.7.1 that caused this...

Apple's normally pretty good about this but they've really dropped the ball this time...
