OneDrive & M1 MacBook Air

Hi Team,

So I just unwrapped the new MBA M1 and installed all my Apps as were in my old 2013 MBP Retina (bless her metal soul) but for some reason, it seems OneDrive is not at all optimised, even with Rosetta installed. The issues are hard to recreate/describe in detail and so I apologise for that but to aim to be specific

  • The Sync sometimes works and sometimes lags.
  • When opening files saved on my hard drive, the App launches and gives me sync errors and I have to save the copy elsewhere.
  • Opening OneDrive on Safari has issues and refuses to open OneDrive for Business
  • OneDrive uses a lot of resources (I know 'a lot' is not really helpful).

For context, I use both OneDrive personal and Business on the same machine. I had used the same set-up for years and I started getting the same error earlier this year (2021) but then it settled down. Now with a new MBA, they just refuse to work sometimes, not always. Today has been a good day so far.

Thanks for your thoughts.
