iPhone 6 My iMessage and FaceTime iOS update is not working

The iPhone 6 will not update past iOS 12.5.4. It is not capable of running any higher iOS. As far as the iMessage and FaceTime activation is concerned, see this, If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support
