I didn’t realize the issue you were having was with Pages for iPad since this issue was posted in the Pages for Mac forum. That’s not a problem, though. I have an iPad with the same iOS and same Pages versions you cited. My iPad is a 6th generation, but I doubt the hardware has anything to do with the issue you’ve described. With that said, I’ve not been able to replicate the issue and I’ve, so far, been able to print Pages documents containing photos, color or black-and-white, without any issues.
Since we’re talking about the iPad version of Pages, when you print the documents that create problems for you, is the correct printer listed as the one to which the print job is being sent? Have you used your iPad to print to an old printer, yet purchased a new one that is creating the problem you’ve described? Is it properly listed in the print dialogue that appears when you print? If you’re printer is made by Hewlett-Packard, there is a print utility you can download for free from the App Store called, “HP Smart.” The program is published by Hewlett-Packard and may help you resolve this issue. My other suspicion, if all other issues have been ruled out, is that the Pages document may not be properly formatted. For that, you will likely need someone to actually look at the document to determine if the problem is caused by a formatting issue.
