Ever since I got my new iPhone 12 in May, my cellular slows down or sometimes doesn’t even load anything when I drop to a 4g lte connection. It used to be fine at lte on my iPhone 7, so I don’t know what’s different. Its like they just swapped the 3x label with the lte and added 5g at the top. I have unlimited data through Verizon so I’m definitely not hitting a limit. Does anyone know of any solutions?

iPhone 7 was released like 5 years ago. Many carriers to get the most out of 5G would recommend to swap old SIM with new one. If you haven’t done this yet, ask your carrier to swap your old SIM for new. It won’t harm you but it can help.

We understand that you’re experiencing cellular data being slower than you’d expect when connected to 4G LTE. Let’s work to isolate this situation.
Do you notice this in specific areas? For example, if connected to 4G LTE at home, is the speed similar to when connected to 4G LTE at work, provided you travel to a work location?
Do you have any issues making/receiving phone calls at the same time or does the situation seem isolated only to cellular data?
For testing, if you go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Voice & Data and set things to LTE only, do you notice the same situation?
Does the situation seem isolated to specific apps or is it happening with all apps?
