Transferring data from a scan disk to a new MacBook air

Hi my old MacBook Air was beyond repair so has been replaced. Before it went for repair I saved everything on a scan disk which does not fit the ports on the newer model .I’m not tech savvy so not sure how to recover my saved stuff.

If the external drive is using an older style USB connector, then you will need to use a USB-C to USB-A Adapter, or a USB-C multi-port adapter or some similar third party option (just make sure to use a good quality brand so not to damage the USB-C Mac).
