Apple Watch geofencing

I’ve read a few articles discussing receiving notifications if somebody leaves a designated area (geofencing) while using iwatch and family set up. https://techcrunch.com/2020/09/15/apples-new-family-setup-aims-to-make-apple-watch-a-kid-tracker/

I also read that you can get notifications when somebody arrives at a certain location, such as child arriving home from school, which I’ve been able to find information on.

is the first scenario possible? (Geofencing) If so, can somebody please show me how to do it?

thank you kindly.
