I did find that at times when I connect my remote it does not always connect or takes a long time unlike the previous version I had with Mojave.
tbirdvet, thank you. I did download from that site, but each and every time I try to get the remote to connect, it gives me the message "E1400 Server returned unexpected reply". Did you experience this issue? Honestly, Logitech support is the pits, I have emailed 4 times and never get a response and the search of their support forum shows several people with the same problem. I am fairly savvy with tech stuff, but this has been completely baffled. I guess I will keep trying and I do thank you for your answer.
Bad news. I just tried to connect my 665 remote and it starts to sync then disconnects. Tried on 2 different units and the same issue. No error message just disconnects. Not sure why at this time. I think the last time I used this app was with my Intel Mac and now I have an M1 so that may be the issue.
I just tested trying to update my Harmony One remote and it worked. I had to connect and disconnect the cord at the remote 3 times before it took. I have found in the past the cable is finicky for a good connection.
tbirdvet, again thank you for continuing to try to help me! I so appreciate it. I tried disconnecting as you suggested, no luck. I agree it is a weird cable connection, very difficult to insert and remove. At this point, I think I will just return the remote and deal with having 4 remotes for my ancient system! UGH!
You are not alone. I also decided to retire my Harmony remotes and go back to using two remotes. One for the TV and one for the DVD player. I have my TV control my sound bar so that eliminates that remote.
tbirdvet, update for you. I was on the phone for 2 hours with Logitech tech support person. She had me do all the things I had done already but I followed along as we must. Unplug, replug, install, uninstall, hook up to computer without batteries, sign out sign in, you follow my drift. At the end of it all......she is sending it up to higher powers and didn't know how long it would take for someone to email me or call me. She was very nice. So now I will see if Best Buy will let me return the remote which is past the 10 day window for returns. Again, thank you for your ongoing support! Have a great rest of your week!
I have the same remote. You need the Harmony Desktop V1.0.271 and you can then update the remote.
where did you find the download? The download that is supposedly the latest 64 bit on Logitech site downloads but does not recognize the 665 remote I just bought at Best Buy :(
I have never seen this error message. However, I have not use the app lately.
