I’ve been using a HDMI cord to watch iTunes on my tv and it’s been fine for months. Last night everything was going fine until I opened the episode and it played on my laptop but the tv was just black. No play button or anything. Anyone know what’s going on or how to fix it?

Just to confirm, are you using a PC or a Mac? Have you tried another HDMI cable to rule out that being the cause of the issue? Since iTunes plays correctly on your computer, it's possible that's what is happening.
Test that out and see if that helps!
