Am I able to use a prepaid visa gift card and add funds to my Apple ID to make purchases on the App Store or in app purchases?

- Add funds to your Apple ID balance - "Use a payment method, such as a credit or debit card, to add funds to your Apple ID balance." This takes the previous payment method one step farther by optionally using it to irreversibly add balance to an Apple ID instead of having the card charged each time.

Note that a prepaid card is not a true credit or debit card and may not be accepted since it does not have a required billing address associated with it. You can try using it but do not be surprised if you cannot find a way to enter it into Apple's system.
