The Apple TV app is not used with Apple Fitness+. Apple Fitness+ uses the Fitness app.
You may use AirPlay, if that is supported on your smart TV or streaming device.

• Apple TV 4K box with tvOS 14.3 or later
• Apple TV HD box with tvOS 14.3 or later
*Apple Fitness+ supports AirPlay 2-enabled TVs or devices, allowing you to stream the audio and video from your Fitness+ workouts. Onscreen metrics aren’t available when using AirPlay. Metrics such as timers, heart rate, and Activity Ring celebrations are still available on your Apple Watch.
