Hello, I'm trying to access the Apple Fitness app. Can I do it with this version of Apple TV?

Unfortunately not. That is a 3rd generation model. You will need a newer model (4th generation or later) for support on that Apple TV box. Devices you can use with Apple Fitness+ - Apple Support

Note that screens other than iPhone will also need an Apple Watch. Apple Fitness+ - Apple
