What is the “set“ button on an iPhone 12 Pro
Those particular buttons would be on the clock. That sounds like the process to have it go to Bluetooth pairing mode. At the same time, on the phone go to Settings - Bluetooth. After pressing the two buttons on the clock, it should appear as an option to link within the iPhone’s Bluetooth.

I am trying to pair my phone with a new cross technologies clock. The instructions say press the “set”and “+” button for five seconds until a beep. Hold the side button with the + too long and it calls SOS.
AFAIK, there is no "set" button on any iPhone model. What exactly are you trying to do that requires this "button?"
