Water behind MacBook Air Screen

Hi,

I just took my MacBook Air out from my bag and it had water behind the screen. There appears to be no other damage (for now). It may have been in my bag like that for 4 hours. I have tented it upside down and have a fan blowing on it. How long should I leave it like that? Can this work? Anything else I should do?

Thanks!

Hello RooibosRed09,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about water damage on your Mac.

The best recommendation we can offer is to have the device inspected at an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Store. If the device is not entirely dry and you try to power it on, more damage internally can occur. Use the link here to find a service provider and make an appointment.
