How do I get the do not disturb setting to stop turning back on by itself daily?

Probably you have scheduled it.
Tap Settings > Do Not Disturb, then turn off Scheduled.
Probably you have scheduled it.
Tap Settings > Do Not Disturb, then turn off Scheduled.

Another good reason not to share the same Apple ID between family members. Best practice is to each have your own Apple ID and then set up Family Sharing if you want the benefits that come with that.
Even so, you may have an iPad or something that is shared between family members. That's what happened to me… I couldn't work out why my iPhone kept going into Do Not Disturb mode. Turned out my wife was turning it on (pretty much daily!) on the shared iPad which is logged in with my Apple ID. As others have said, the simple solution is to turn off Settings > Focus > Share Across Devices.
I had the same problem too but then realized I had it scheduled and shared with my other Apple devices. To turn off navigate to Settings>Focus>Do Not Disturb>Turn off “Do Not Disturb” AND scroll down to “Turn On Automatically” and turn that off. See screen shot.
I was having this problem with my Apple Watch. I set a schedule for 12am to 7am for DND on my iPhone and shared this across my devices. The schedule worked fine on my iPhone and my iPad but the problem was that on my Apple Watch, DND would be enabled even after 7am. I tried to fix this by turning off sharing across devices but my DND would still be enabled on my Apple Watch after 7am (I'm not sure when it eventually turned off but my guess would be 9am). What I finally realized is that even if you disable Focus > Share Across Devices, that doesn't turn off the setting on all your devices once it's been shared to them. You have to manually disable it on the device you don't want it on. Sure enough, I checked my Apple Watch and the DND schedule from my iPhone was on there. I deleted it. There is definitely a bug on the DND schedule on the Apple Watch but it's not important for me to have DND scheduling working on my watch.
it’s probably because you have the setting “Share Across Devices” ON in the FOCUS tab of the Settings app
I went settings, health, data across devices, health. From there, I deleted all sleep preferences. Seems to have worked.
Hey - what worked for me, I figured out the sleep mode was turned on on my MacBook, so it was automatically active on my iPhone as well. Even thought it was actually turned off. Maybe the helps.
I’ve been having the same issue. After reading the share across devices suggestion, I decided to text my son in college. I asked him if he was using DND to study. He replied yes, but it keeps turning back on. I think he was Turning it on and I was turning it off. We both disabled the share across devices. I’m hoping we will both be happy with our phones. Fingers crossed.
After I turned off "share between devices" DND didn't come on by itself anymore.
Okay, you may be experiencing a different issue. If you're not 100% sure, you could still try turning off Settings > Focus > Share Across Devices and see if that fixes it.
Tap Settings > Do Not Disturb, then turn off Scheduled.
On my iPhone 12, the SCHEDULED button is turned OFF, and it will not let me unsilence my incoming calls.
Thus all in coming calls are silenced. This only has happened recently.
Apple watch series 7, watchOS 8.4.2
I started having this problem also. My watch would just randomly turn on do not disturb mode. After reading some of the discussions I think what is happening is tied to the cover to silence option.
If you cover the watch with your palm the current incoming call is silenced. If you keep it covered for 3 seconds it mutes the watch(puts it in do not disturb) instead of just silencing the call.
Also, please check if you have Used Bedtime to track your sleep on your iPhone - Apple ...
this is happening to me too. The notification banner will pop up saying dnd is on. I turn it off and not even 10 seconds later I get the same notification. It is very irritating. I’ve tried reset, schedule changes and deletion, but nothing works.
So my iPhone 12 pro max keeps turning the do not disturb function on by itself. The only way I can correct this is by resetting the phone and I then loose all my passwords and other stored settings.
If this bug is not fixed soon, this will be my last Apple product!!!!
