How to disable audio player in Apple News?

Your reply is a question, and does not help in resolving the issue. From my question, It is obvious that I DON'T wish listen to Audio Stories. I am surprised that a person with level 10 as yourself would reply in such manner... I welcome a helpful or even inquiring response as long as it is constructive in nature. However, if you don't have a way to help or contribute, why bother to post anything?
