It's not clear why my camera has a "There is no connected camera" error after updating Mac OS.
Before BigSur OS my camera did work fine. after updating to BigSur get a "There is no connected camera" error. I was able to work with my camera once I was upgraded to 11.4 and the error went away but when you released 11.5.1 and 11.5.2 I got this error again.
My God, please fix this error

Is the Built-in Camera showing up in System Report ?? Have you checked ?? Have you done an SMC Reset and perform this action three time consecutively ??
It's not a hardware issue. It was a problem with my camera driver, and when I updated my OS, it started working.
Unless I downgrade to Mojave OS I will lose my software.
Last time, the camera worked fine and the system report showed the camera driver. I receive the message that "No video capture devices were found." after updating to BigSur. Since I have updated to 11.4 this message no longer appears and it is working again

So what version is running on the computer Now ??
By the way - all the drives are included in the OS. After all the computer is made by Apple and They Supply the Drivers for their equipment. So if updating the Driver by Third Party drivers is a fast way to break things.
Currently, I have 11.5.2.
1- The problem occurs again when I update from Mojave to BigSur. Camera lost
2- After updating to 11.4 the camera works again.
3- Since I upgraded to 11.5.2, my camera disappeared again

Sorry the suggestions made here and elsewhere have not resolved your computer issue. Since the camera is not showing in System Information - Find an Apple Authorized Service Provider Our network of Apple Authorized Service Providers give you lots of convenient locations for Apple repairs.
