Imported Music disappeared on my Apple music is there a glitch??

Hi,

My imported music from some CD's I own have disappeared on my Apple music playlists but yet they still play the song as if it's still there and when I go to play a song that's not imported it'll play the song before it or 6 songs before it is there a glitch??

We see you're having some issues with some songs not showing up in playlists in Apple Music, and we'd be happy to help work on that.



Which device are you using Apple Music on? We noted you've posted in the Apple Music on Android section, but we just want to ensure, so that we can provide the best steps to take.


Does re-importing the songs to the library, or re-adding them to the playlist seem to help with having them visible? It sounds like they're still present, as the song does play.


If you're indeed using Apple Music on Android, try some of the following steps:

-Clear the app cache:

From the Home screen, tap Apps.

Tap Settings.

Scroll to Apps, then tap it.

Tap Apple Music.

Tap Storage, then tap Clear Cache.

Return to the Home screen or the application list, and reopen Apple Music.


If it persists, try turning the device off for 30 seconds, and then power it back on, and see if that's helped.

Thanks for trying those steps out.


Some additional ones that may help would be to try signing out of Apple Music, restart the phone, and then sign back in. This step may cause songs saved for offline use to no longer be downloaded, just to note.

To sign out: Open the Apple Music app. From the bottom of the screen, tap either Library, Listen Now, Browse, or Radio. Tap the three dots (...) button > Tap Account Settings > Tap Sign Out (bottom of the screen).

To sign back in, tap the same button with the three dots (...) > Settings > Sign In.


You may also try restarting the Apple Music app. Head to the Home Screen > Apps > Settings > Scroll to apps, and tap Apple Music > Select Force Stop. Select OK if prompted. Then, relaunch the Apple Music app and see if its still happening.
