Is it safe to allow MacKeeper access to my Mac Pro

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

No, macs do not need any apps that claim to clean, optimise or speed up your mac.

Macs look after themselves and any third party apps can interfere with the macs own

housekeeping leading to a reduction in performance and possible corruption of the System.

Often they can flag up files which you may be tempted to delete, these can sometimes be

important system files and could lead to a malfunctioning mac.

If you have already installed any apps like this then consult the software developers website for

full instructions on how to uninstall the app.


Th same goes for any anti-virus apps, there are no viruses that attack the mac.

Keep on top of malware by installing https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac
