Final cut not importing full video or seeing full contents of sd card

Fincal cut is not importing the full videos anymore and or not seeing videos that are on my camera sd card. For instance i know there are 6 videos on the card but the import window is only showing 4 videos and the time stamps on the videos are not the full videos. The videos are all just over an hour in length but the time on the clips on shows like 50 mins and only import that amount with the last 10 mins cut off.

Is there a fix for this?

ok i copied the sd card to an external harddrive and final cut is reading the entire file and all the files.

Just as an experiment try copying the AVCHD bundle onto a hard drive and see if the FCP import window works properly from there.

Do you have recorded clips with different settings on the same card?

Whar camera is this? Was the card formatted in camera?

If you open the card in the Finder or Image Capture, are you able to see the videos' full duration?

What is the card format? What are the file sizes of those clips?

It is a panasonic camcorder. Card was formatted in camera. file size are about 10-13 gb. the full duration is there when i open the card in finder, click on the avchd collection, then each file will open in quicktime which i then save to the hardrive from quicktime.

its strange because its only been doing this for a about a month or so.
