Re-organize app icons

When i updated OS on iPhone 11 Pro, all my apps, which i had organized the way I wanted them, were unorganized into various mish-mashes in new boxes at the end--how do I turn back time and get rid of those boxes/that whole page so I can put my app icons back in a useful position?

randomdogs,

The App Library is an expected feature introduced in iOS 14. Your apps are automatically sorted into categories as explained in the resource linked in the previous reply. Your Home Screen apps and overall layout is separate from the App Library. It would not be expected for your Home Screen layout to change following an update unless the layout was reset or the pages were hidden. Check to see if your pages were hidden following the steps under "Find and hide pages on your Home Screen" in Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone.

Take care.

Hello randomdogs,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We understand that after updating the iOS on your device, you noticed your apps unorganized in folders on the last page. We’d like to help.

Did your Home Screen configuration change? Or is it the same, other than the apps you’re seeing on the last page when you swipe left?

“From your Home Screen, swipe left until you see the App Library. Your apps are automatically sorted into categories. For example, you might see your social media apps under a Social category. The apps that you use most frequently will automatically reorder based on your usage.”

Have a nice day.

No, this doesn't solve my problem; it's the exact opposite.

The update gathered up all my carefully useful to me organization of apps and threw them all into this "App Library" or a better name would be Blender . The same apps appear in multiple boxes, the titles of which are misnomers. It's like someone sneaked into your house while you weren't there and re arranged all your furniture after moving it into a different house at the end of the block, then cemented your house shut.
