My phone keeps turning off by itself

If you didn't get the phone wet, why waste your time and potentially damage your phone even more by placing it in a bowl of rice? What purpose would doing so make you think it would help, again, if it wasn't exposed to any liquids? ... unless, it did get wet somehow and the reason it is shutting itself down.

At this point, you need to take your phone to the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them take a look and provide you with your options. Good luck!

... and what have you tried, so far yourself, to resolve this so that we don't try offering you potential solutions that may not have already worked for you?
