I can’t turn off captions

I have the Apple TV app downloaded to my Samsung smart TV. When I go to accessibility > subtitles and captioning I do not have the options Closed Captions and SDH. I only have a style option. I want to permanently turn the captions/subtitles off. How do I do this without the option needed in my settings?

Either the app or your device may have a ‘global’ setting for subtitles and/or closed captioning for upcoming future videos.

Use subtitles and captioning in the Apple TV app - Apple Support

During playback, you may (de-)activate subtitles or closed captioning from the Info pane. Press the down button, then Subtitles, then select a language, or select “Off”.
