Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference to kick off June 10 at 10 a.m. PDT with Keynote address

The Keynote will be available to stream on apple.com, the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app, and the Apple YouTube channel. On-demand playback will be available after the conclusion of the stream.

I can’t turn off captions

I have the Apple TV app downloaded to my Samsung smart TV. When I go to accessibility > subtitles and captioning I do not have the options Closed Captions and SDH. I only have a style option. I want to permanently turn the captions/subtitles off. How do I do this without the option needed in my settings?

Either the app or your device may have a ‘global’ setting for subtitles and/or closed captioning for upcoming future videos.

Use subtitles and captioning in the Apple TV app - Apple Support


During playback, you may (de-)activate subtitles or closed captioning from the Info pane. Press the down button, then Subtitles, then select a language, or select “Off”.
