what happens if a husband and wife use the same email and Apple won't let one of u use it to sign in?

We got I cloud and want to share it . Because we use the same Apple I D it will not let one of us sign in. What do we do to change this?

Just have one person create their own Apple ID. They can then sign out of the phone and log in with their own ID. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204316


There is nothing stopping you from using the same ID and logging into iCloud or anything else; some people use this setup because photos are easier to share among other things. But, it comes at the expense of things like individual location. Having your own IDs just allows for more granularity in location, account preferences, purchases, etc.
