Moving from UK to Belgium

Hi,

I have moved from the UK to Belgium and am not sure what to do about my Apple ID. If I don't change the country settings I won't be able to get some apps that are only available in Belgium (e.g. parking, etc...) but I'm worried that if I do change I would lose access to some of the UK apps (such as the banking apps, or the NHS app where I have my vaccination certificate....). Can you advise? Will I lose access to UK apps?

Thank you,

Angela

Any UK apps currently on your device will stay there, but should you need to update them or re-download them you won't be able to once you change countries. All this is outlined in this document --> Change your Apple ID country or region - Apple Support

I am not sure if you are using optimization if there's also a risk that an unused app may be removed as part of optimization and then won't be able to re-download should you need it. You may want to ask Apple about that.

Click here --> https://support.apple.com/choose-country-region Select your country, then a product. If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.
