Apple+ TV subscription paid in error

My wife recently bought a new Apple device and was eligible for a free 12-month subscription which she signed up for. Shortly after this I took a look at Apple+ TV and it didn't appeal to me. However, we were charged £4.99 via our joint credit card account for July. I can only imagine that when I logged into Apple TV I used my own Apple ID instead of my wife's and was subsequently charged. As neither of us have ever watched any Apple TV content is it possible to have the subscription fee refunded?
