I'm trying to view old educational DVD's (1990's) through external DVD player. I am using Catalina. Computer says there is no program to open it. Can i download a program or is everything just too old? Thank you in advance.

Can you name the publisher of these educational DVDs? It may be that they were part of a package that required the installation of a specific navigation/viewing application. I recall having encyclopedias and other interactive programs on DVD that were like that in that era. If that's the case, then good luck, my friend.
I tried VLC. It was the first to come up when I searched. But it could not open any of the DVD's. Also tried the publishers. The programs were no longer available. Guess they are just too old to open. Thank you all for your responses. Margaret
