Constant AirPods Connected Notification

I keep receiving an “AirPods Connected" notification every few seconds or so, after connecting my AirPods Pro to my iPhone X, even while I’m watching the same video, or while I’m listening to the same song, all while I’m on the same device – without ever disconnecting.

My iPhone has the most recent update installed. I’ve tried disconnecting the AirPods Pro, and asking Bluetooth to “forget” the device and reconnecting them to my iPhone. However, this notification glitch keeps occurring.

It’s very annoying and distracting. Any ideas on how to fix it, or if there’s an update coming (soon) that will address this?

Hi Shump1,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you're seeing an alert that your AirPods are connected every few seconds while using them. It sounds like you can make some adjustments to the Settings. You can go to Settings > Bluetooth > AirPods > tap the (i). Under Connect to This iPhone, you can switch from Automatically to When last connected to this iPhone.

You can learn more about adjusting your AirPods settings here: Change the settings of your AirPods and AirPods Pro

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
