I don’t have the phone that my watch was paired with. They did not tell me when I traded it in and I had to unpack my watch first. How do I pair it with my new phone?

You can erase the watch to repair with the new iPhone by going to the watch Settings tap General then reset erase all content and settings

If you can’t access the Settings app on your Apple Watch because you’ve forgotten your passcode, put your Apple Watch on its charger, then press and hold the side button until you see Power Off. Press and hold the Digital Crown, then tap Reset.
