"Apple Recovery (iBoot) USB Composite Device" recognized by Windows 10 PC

While doing the latest iOS upgrade, the iPad is stuck at the "connect to PC" screen. The PC recognizes it as "Apple Recovery (iBoot) USB Composite Device". Is it bricked?

Hi RognvaldtheWise,

Thanks for your follow up. Were you able to go through the steps in the link If your Windows PC doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod?

As mentioned in the resource we recommended previously, you will want to see if the same thing happens on a second computer. If you have the same issue on another computer, contact Apple Support.

Have a nice day!

Hi RognvaldtheWise,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

We are happy to help with the issue you are having with your iPad after trying to update it. You will want to go ahead and follow the steps in If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Also take a look at Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in iTunes on PC.

Cheers!
