Apple Watch time-of-day display does not update during a workout

When I run outdoors and use the Workout app to track it, the screen shows a Duration, Pace, and Distance, as I have it configured in the settings. It also displays the time-of-day at the top right of the screen. All of the metrics update as I run, but the time of day does not, unless I tap the screen to cause it to update. This is very frustrating, as I often run to a park to meet people at a certain time. My watch is saying it is 6:15am (for example), but that was the time I left home, and it is now actually 6:31am. To see the time I need to raise my wrist and tap on the screen several times (which is difficult with gloves in winter). Does this frustrate anyone else? Is there a way to make it update the time at least once a minute? I can't imagine it is a battery issue, as all the other items on the screen are updated, so why not the time-of-day?

Thanks for your help!

I have been doing some more investigating of this, and it seem to be restricted to the Running Workouts only. I tried a walk, and the clock DOES update while walking. For some reason during Outdoor Running workouts the clock does NOT update. I have some photos showing an example. The first one shows the start of a run, and the second a few minutes in, and you can see that the clock does not update the display of time-of-day (Note I am not actually running here, but just waving my arms around to demonstrate the problem).

Please Help!!
