Mac Pro Ethernet Card

I am trying to purchase a 4 port Gigabit Ethernet PCIE Card for our new Mac Pro, is there a specific model or brand that is supported by Mac OS Catalina on the Mac Pro? I cannot find anything that explicitly mentions Mac support.

Many thanks in advance

Most ordinary Gigabit Ethernet cards have been discontinued.

The readily-available ones with Mac support tend to be Fiber-optic SFP+ interface and (up to) 10G speeds.

sonnet tech makes a couple, but their highest is two ports:

OWC sells one affordable one and several that have more than one port and fiber-optic interface, at heart-stopping prices:

After a bit more looking around, I was surprised to discover that there are some *SFP+ interface modules available for RJ45 copper cabling.

This could mean starting with an SFP+ card with an RJ45 copper module, then possibly upgrading later to a fiber-optic module when its time for a fiber-optic cabling upgrade.

It could also means starting with a 10G Switch with SFP+ for its network port, but using an RJ45 copper interface for now, then upgrading later to fiber-optic backbone.
